Elina Street (she/her) is a French-American director and photographer based in New York City. An Emmy and two-time Webby Award winner, her work spans narrative film and branded content. Her work primarily focuses on female representation.
She began her career in the U.K., earning a BA in Filmmaking from Kingston University, and later completed an MA in Cinema Studies at NYU Tisch. Her debut short film, Alice and Lewis, starred Lollie McKenzie ( West End’s Matilda the Musical), and her most recent, My Best Friend, premiered at BFI Flare and Tribeca, screening at thirteen major festivals including Palm Springs ShortFest,Frameline, and Miami Film Festival.
Elina is the co-creator and director of the Emmy - and GLAAD Award-winning campaign The Lesbian Bar Project - now a docu-series on TThe Roku Channel, and RTL+ - which has earned over 1.4 billion impressions, 250+ media placements, and two Webby Awards. She also directed Celine Dion’s big editorial comeback in Vogue’s Life and Looks series.
